In the heart of Lagos, where chaos dances with dreams, lies a quiet compound of six flats. Slowly tilt up to reveal Amaka on her balcony, quietly reading her Bible.Cut to main entrance — Adeleke enters through the gate, holding a small bag of groceries.ADELEKE (smiling at her):Preparing your sermon for Sunday school again?AMAKA (smiling warmly):You know me. The Word never runs dry.They both chuckle lightly.CAMERA ZOOMS OUT:Soft lens flare from a streetlight nearby. Unknown to them, eyes are watching from behind slightly opened curtains.VOICE OVER (V.O.):Inquisitive neighbors watch every move of these two righteous souls. To some, they are simply… too perfect for comfort.INT. MAMA PEACE’S ROOM – NIGHT(Ceiling fan humming, kettle whistling, muffled street chatter)CAMERA DIRECTION:Medium shot: Mama Peace and Mrs. Jibola seated side by side, sipping tea from mismatched mugs.MAMA PEACE (lowering her voice):I tell you, my sister, they must be secretly dating — or even doing that thing. Just imagine, two unmarried people, always smiling at each other. After they’ll be claiming holy holy.MRS. JIBOLA (frowning):I don’t think it’s right for you to jump to such conclusions. I heard the Madam Judge is a Sunday School teacher — and their church is like Deeper Life. They run from fornication to save their souls from Hell fire.MAMA PEACE (shrugs):Abeg, leave that thing. Who are they fooling?MRS. JIBOLA (sharply):Please watch your mouth o! Don’t sin against God o. If Officer Adeleke and Justice Amaka are truly holy before God, better don’t use your mouth to attract curses on yourself — and your innocent children.CAMERA ZOOMS IN on Mama Peace, who now sits silently, lips pressed tight.🎞️ MONTAGE SCENE (Music: Emotional piano & ambient strings)Amaka, still on the balcony, kneels beside her Bible, praying silently under the moonlight.Adeleke, alone in his room, reading Psalms from a neat Bible while instrumental worship plays faintly from his phone.Their neighbors: Mama Peace closes her window slowly, troubled.A passing boy, perhaps 10 years old, glances at Amaka and Adeleke from the gate, his eyes filled with admiration.NARRATION (V.O.):Sometimes, if a light shines too bright it attracts suspicion. But if it stays lit, it pierces even the thickest darkness.TRANSITION:Crossfade into the church interior.INT. CHURCH – SUNDAY MORNING(Worship music fading into quiet reverence)CAMERA DIRECTION: Wide interior shot of church. The message has just ended. Pastor Olu walks forward with a sober expression.PASTOR OLU (firm and calm):Please pay attention, brothers and sisters. The good deeds of two people in our midst have come to my knowledge. They are Sister Amaka and Brother Adeleke — true ambassadors of Jesus Christ.CUT TO: Amaka and Adeleke sitting separately, suddenly alert.PASTOR OLU (CONT’D):I heard that someone in this church even tried to buy them — to corrupt them. But they stood firm. As a matter of fact, only recently, I had a positive vision about the two of them — they are candidates of Heaven. Our Lord Jesus Christ is pleased with them.CONGREGATION:“Amen!” (emotional applause)CAMERA ZOOMS IN:Amaka and Adeleke stand in appreciation as they exchange humble, surprised glances.VOICE OVER (V.O.):A rising light, when it shines too bright, invites suspicion and attacks. But it also awakens the dying conscience of others… if it endures.INT. POLICE STATION – MONDAY AFTERNOON(Low office chatter, door closing, papers flipping)CAMERA DIRECTION:A young man (early 20s) sits in handcuffs, sobbing. His mother, Mrs. Danladi, pleads with Officer Adeleke across the desk.MRS. DANLADI (begging):Please, Supol Adeleke, this boy is my only son. I heard about what he did. It was just a small burglary. Kindly take this small envelope — please help us and release him to him. He won't do it again.She places a wrapped package (bribe) on the table.ADELEKE (quiet but firm):Madam, I sympathize with you. But as a child of God I can't help you to pervert justice. If I join other corrupt people to cover evil as you want me to do, very soon our society will descend into anarchy. And when that happens, everyone will be in trouble.CAMERA ZOOM:He pushes the bribe aside, expression unflinching.ADELEKE (CONT’D):Know this and know peace: if you do the crime, it is justifiable for you to do the time.INT. AMAKA’S CHAMBERS – TUESDAY(Courtroom silence, footsteps echoing in corridor)CAMERA DIRECTION:Amaka walks into her chambers, still in her judicial robe. Justice Enebeli, older and more flamboyant, follows behind.JUSTICE ENEBELI (casual, cold):Justice Amaka, I have come to talk to you as your senior here. This your so-called holy holy attitude is beginning to make the rest of us look bad. You have to ease up o. Join the brown envelope game and make life easy for all of us in this court.AMAKA (removing her robe, calm but stern):Sorry to disappoint you, sir. I wasn’t called to the Nigerian bar just to please men and join in the sinful act of bribery and corruption.
