Our Thoughts on Ayo Edebiri in Chanel for Paper Magazine, and Why This Shoot Feels Different
It’s 2026, and legacy houses are constantly negotiating relevance with a new generation, Ayo Edebiri stepping into Chanel late last year felt like a cultural recalibration. Being Paper Magazine’s latest muse confirms that. The clothes on Edebiri, under the creative direction of Matthieu Blazy,  are stretched, softened, and made to breathe differently on her.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Ayo Edebiri (@ayoedebiri) One core standout moment is how the images appear almost hand-drawn, like paper sketches pulled from a designer’s notebook and brought to life.  In an era increasingly saturated by hyper-real visuals and AI-generated precision, this analogue aesthetic reads as resistance. Or maybe, more accurately, as longing. Because in a rapidly evolving AI age, where images can be endlessly generated, refined, and replicated, there’s a growing appetite for something else. The “paper drawing” effect helps fashion return to its earliest form: the sketch. The idea. The han This is what makes her rumored positioning as Blazy’s first Chanel ambassador feel so pointed. Chanel, historically anchored in a very specific idea of elegance, finds in Edebiri a kind of elasticity. She represents a generation that consumes fashion, but also interrogates it, memes it, lives […] The post Our Thoughts on Ayo Edebiri in Chanel for Paper Magazine, and Why This Shoot Feels Different appeared first on BN Style.

Tems Makes a Case for Wearing White Again on The Tonight Show
Tems stepped onto The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in white, and at this point, it’s safe to say the look is becoming part of her signature. She’s been on a quiet but undeniable run with white lately, and this appearance only adds to her growing repertoire. Clean, striking, and effortlessly powerful, the look felt intentional. There’s something about the way Tems wears white. It never feels plain. It feels elevated, almost regal, like she’s rewriting what minimalism can look like. With each outing, her stylist, Dunsin Wright, is moving from a safe choice to a statement. Let Temi Ajibade Inspire Your Next Birthday Rollout
Most people make one birthday post, or one carousel post and a lot of stories after. If you’re extra, all of that plus a reel. But Temi Ajibade is not most people. She’s a fashion editorial icon, and her birthday rollout for her 30th shows that. Instead of a single post, Temi turned her birthday into a full visual story, and every post felt like a new chapter in a fashion editorial. She started with a throwback photo, a soft, nostalgic opener that set the tone. Then came the cheetah print moment, bold and playful, followed by black sequins, cake, and family, giving us glamour with a touch of intimacy. Just when we thought we had seen it all, she switched things up again with colour, and then finally, the latest post: Spanish sunsets, warm light, and that effortless, cinematic feel she does so well. Temi’s birthday rollout is a masterclass in how to tell a story with style, colour, mood, and fashion. She built moments, and by the end of it, her 30th birthday felt like an era.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Temiloluwa Ajibade (@temiotedola)   View this post on Instagram   […] The post Let Temi Ajibade Inspire Your Next Birthday Rollout appeared first on BN Style.

Mimmi Kasu’s Colours Collection Is a Love Letter to the Woman Who Keeps Going
COLOURS by Mimmi Kasu was born from a place every woman knows too well, the in-between. That fragile space where life feels heavy, pillows are wet at night, answers are unclear, and yet, something within you refuses to dim. This collection is a love letter to the woman who keeps going anyway. Rather than following trend cycles, COLOURS is emotion-led. A story shaped by real life experiences, the kind that whispers “hold on” when everything feels blank, the kind that believes in light, even while standing in the tunnel and experiencing a waiting season. Each shade of the pieces from the collection represents a season; waiting, endurance, clarity, and triumph, brought to life through thoughtful tailoring, intentional colour pallete, and world class story-telling visuals of smoke and light. Every piece is inspired by the emotional spectrum of becoming. The muted tones speak to moments of doubt, waiting, and survival. The bold hues represent breakthroughs; clarity, confidence, and the relief that comes when the light finally breaks through. Together, they mirror the journey of a woman who dares to rise, again and again regardless. This is for the woman who has carried weight and still shown up. Stylist Speak: Swazzi Pulled Together the Looks for Kizz Daniel’s Buga in Two Weeks
When Kizz Daniel’s “Buga” dropped in 2022 and became one of the biggest Afrobeats anthems of the year, audiences were dazzled by the carnival spectacle of its music video. What they didn’t see was the stylist behind 120 people and 150 looks running on a strained budget and limited time. Given just two weeks to deliver carnival-ready looks for a cast of 120, Swazzi quickly discovered that Nigeria’s costume rental market was nowhere near equipped for the scale of the job. “I reached out to the Lagos State Government, and they were like they had just a few,” he recalled.
