How is Kenya preparing for the 2027 AFCON?  For those who do not know, Kenya has already been selected to host the 2027 edition of the Africa Cup of Nations. And today, we want to look at how preparations for that are going.First of all, Kenya won’t be doing it alone. For the first time in the history of the competition, an AFCON tournament will be hosted by 3 different nations. Kenya will be doing it alongside neighbors Uganda and Tanzania, making it the first time any of those nations will host the tournament.In fact, 2027 will be the first time in over 50 years that the tournament will go to East or Central Africa since 1976 when it was hosted by Ethiopia. So, this is pretty much uncharted territory for each of these countries.Of course, Kenyans are super excited about the competition coming home, and passionate football fans would be looking forward to betting on some interesting matchups. They have never made it past the group stage at the AFCON, and this would be the perfect time for them to make their first ever knockout appearance.They don’t have to bother about qualification, as their status as co-hosts already guarantees them a spot at the tournament.
