Mt. Kenya UDA politicians now accuse GACHAGUA of being a tribal bigot and tell him to shut up – You are doing more disservice to us than you know it
Tuesday, May 28, 2024 - Nairobi MCAs aligned with the UDA party have rejected Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua's continual assertions of advocating for Mount Kenya's interests. In a statement, the MCAs, who have roots from Mt. Kenya, cautioned that the DP's current campaigning efforts are divisive and pose a risk due to their tribal nature. Led by Nairobi County Minority Leader Antony Kiragu, the Nairobi MCAs with roots from the region would suffer more when ethnic politics take center stage. He further called for an end to any further tribal and ethnic-based campaigns. " From Nairobi, we know very well that we are the people who carry the brand of their recklessness; we pay dearly for their mess. "We have been quiet for some time when they have been going around doing UDA campaigns using ethnic undertones," Kiragu said. Kiragu explained that Kenyans moved past ethnically-driven politics in 2022 and should not regress to that state. "We will call them out and reject whatever they are proposing for us," he added. Kiragu stated that Kenyans supported President William Ruto based on his manifesto rather than the selection of his running mate. He urged aspiring leaders in the Mount Kenya region to be bold in articulating their views. He remarked that the current advocacy for the "One man, one vote, one shilling" campaign promoted by Gachagua and others lacked authenticity, saying that those involved harbored undisclosed agendas. Cryptocurrency: An Asset Class Option For Your Future
Cryptocurrency: An Asset Class Option For Your Future Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin have emerged as a powerful way to diversify trading portfolios and gain exposure to a new asset class. While still in its early stages, cryptocurrencies have the potential to revolutionize payments, transactions and the financial system. Here are some of the reasons why traders should consider cryptocurrencies: ●       Decentralized: Most cryptocurrencies operate on decentralized networks, with no central authority controlling the system thereby removing intermediaries and giving users more control. ●        Inflation Hedge: Cryptocurrencies have fixed supply limits that are reached gradually over time. This makes them resistant to inflation and currency debasement. ●       New Technology: The blockchain technology that underlies cryptocurrencies has the potential to transform how we record and verify transactions. This innovation creates opportunities for traders. ●       Portfolio Diversifier: Cryptocurrencies have historically had a low directional relationship with traditional assets like stocks and bonds, making them a valuable diversifier for trading portfolios. ●       Growth Potential: With increased adoption and use cases, cryptocurrencies could see significant growth and increase in value. Early traders may benefit the most. Of course, cryptocurrencies also come with risks, including high volatility and a lack of regulatory and security concerns. As with any trading, proper research and risk management are crucial. However, for traders with a long-term horizon and risk tolerance, cryptocurrencies deserve consideration as part of a well-diversified portfolio. The future of finance Some experts believe cryptocurrencies could eventually rival traditional currencies and payment methods, fundamentally reshaping the global financial system. Here are a few ways cryptocurrencies may transform finance in the coming years: ●       Payments and remittances: Cryptocurrencies offer cheap, fast and global payments that don't require intermediaries. This could make them a popular way to send funds internationally. Already, some companies accept crypto payments. ●       Banking the unbanked: Billions of people worldwide lack access to traditional banks and financial services. Cryptocurrencies could provide financial inclusion to those currently outside the system. ●       New trading assets: As cryptocurrencies mature and gain mainstream adoption, they could evolve into established trading assets like stocks, bonds and commodities. This would open up new opportunities for traders and asset managers. ●       Smart contracts: Blockchain technology's programmable nature enables intelligent contracts to self-execute when conditions are met. This could automate many financial agreements and transactions. However, scalability, security, and regulation issues must be resolved for cryptocurrencies to disrupt the entire financial system truly. Progress is being made on these fronts, but widespread adoption will take time. Cryptocurrencies remain a niche, albeit promising, segment of the broader financial industry. As with any emerging technology, there are risks and opportunities for those willing to explore its potential.   Cryptocurrency as a Long-Term trading -          Digital Gold Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin are often called "digital gold" because they share some key characteristics with the precious metal: scarcity, durability, portability, divisibility, and fungibility. The supply of most major cryptocurrencies is fixed or capped, so they are scarce assets. Cryptocurrencies are also highly durable since they exist on the blockchain. They are easily portable, divided into tiny fractions, and fungible (interchangeable), making them attractive as a store of value. -          Hedge Against Inflation Cryptocurrencies could act as a hedge against inflation in the long run. As governments print more fiat currency, the purchasing power of money declines. However, the supply of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin is not dictated by any central authority. As fiat currencies lose value, the value of cryptocurrencies could rise. Some data shows a correlation between increased money supply and Bitcoin's price. -          High Risk, High Reward While cryptocurrencies show promise as long-term tradings, they are also very risky. The market is largely unregulated and volatile, and traders could lose a significant portion or all of their capital if a cryptocurrency drops sharply in value.   However, the potential upside is high if a cryptocurrency gains mainstream adoption over the next 5-10 years. For traders with a high-risk tolerance, allocating a small portion of a portfolio to cryptocurrency may be worth considering. The key is to do thorough research, invest the money you can afford to lose, and take a long-term perspective. Top Cryptocurrencies for Achieving Financial Goals   ●       Bitcoin (BTC) As the most established cryptocurrency, Bitcoin should be a core holding for long-term traders. Bitcoin's limited supply and increasing mainstream adoption could drive substantial price appreciation. While volatile, Bitcoin has a proven track record of generating high returns on trading. ●       Ethereum (ETH) Ethereum is a leader in the decentralized finance movement and powers many cryptocurrency projects. As Ethereum moves to a more energy-efficient consensus mechanism and expands functionality, it could post strong returns. Ethereum also has a large developer community working to expand the network's capabilities. ●       Litecoin (LTC) Litecoin is a cryptocurrency focused on fast, inexpensive payments. Litecoin can be a good option for smaller transactions where lower fees matter. Litecoin also has strong brand recognition and has been in the market since 2011. For traders, Litecoin may produce solid returns at a lower cost and risk than more prominent cryptocurrencies. By allocating funds across significant cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin, traders can gain exposure to the high growth potential of cryptocurrencies as an asset class while reducing risk. As with any trading, thoroughly research how these cryptocurrencies fit your financial goals and risk tolerance. With years of data available, cryptocurrencies can substantially outperform traditional asset classes during specific periods, though past performance does not guarantee future results. How Cryptocurrencies Like Bitcoin and Ethereum Can Appreciate Over Time   Cryptocurrencies are digital assets that can increase significantly in value over long periods as more people adopt and invest in major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum, demand and price rise. Scarcity and Fixed Supply Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin have a fixed maximum supply and are scarce digital assets. Bitcoin has a global market cap of 21 million coins. As more people buy and hold Bitcoin, the available supply decreases, putting upward pressure on Bitcoin price. Increasing Mainstream Adoption Cryptocurrencies were once a niche market, but they are gaining mainstream adoption. More people are investing and accepting cryptocurrencies as payment every day. As cryptocurrencies integrate into the global financial system, their value will rise substantially. peculation and New Use Cases Cryptocurrencies are a new asset class, so there is a lot of speculation around their potential future use cases. If companies integrate cryptocurrencies into new products and services or governments adopt them on a large scale, prices could skyrocket due to speculation. However, prices could also drop dramatically if speculations do not materialize. Long-Term Investing The most significant gains in cryptocurrencies have gone to long-term traders. Investing in cryptocurrencies with a multi-year time horizon can benefit from steady growth and new all-time high prices. However, you also run the risk of short-term volatility and bear markets that could last for months or years. Only invest a sum you can afford to lose since cryptocurrencies are risky. Cryptocurrencies have the potential for colossal price appreciation due to their scarcity, increasing mainstream adoption, new use cases, and long-term speculation. However, significant price drops are also possible. If approached cautiously, cryptocurrencies could be an asset class for achieving your long-term financial goals. Using Cryptocurrency to Save and Grow Your Wealth Cryptocurrency is a new asset class that, when approached strategically, can help you achieve your long-term financial goals. Saving for Major Purchases Setting money aside in a cryptocurrency savings fund allows for potential high growth over time that can outpace traditional savings accounts. As the value of major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum has risen substantially over the years, your holdings could generate significant gains. You can then sell portions of your fund to put a down payment on a house, pay for a child's college education, or make other significant purchases. Investing for Retirement Cryptocurrency also has the potential for long-term solid growth that may support a retirement fund. An allocation of 10-20% of your retirement portfolio in a diversified mix of major cryptocurrencies could generate substantial gains over decades. As with any trading, there is also risk. However, the long time horizon of retirement saving allows for riding out the volatility. Over 30-40 years of working and saving, the high growth periods of cryptocurrency could make a meaningful impact on your retirement balance. While the future of cryptocurrency is uncertain, when approached cautiously, its potential as an trading asset is promising. With the right mix of cryptocurrencies in a diversified portfolio, saving and investing in this new asset class can provide financial security for years. As with any trading, do thorough research and understand the risks. Cryptocurrency may be a speculative trading, but it could build wealth for your future when part of a long-term financial strategy. Market Analysis of Major Cryptocurrencies Cryptocurrencies are digital assets that can be an alternative trading class in your portfolio. The three (3) biggest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization are Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin. ●       Bitcoin Bitcoin is the original cryptocurrency, launched in 2009. It has the largest market capitalization compared to all cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin is unarguably the first decentralized digital currency that facilitates easy and instant payments to anyone, anywhere in the world. It uses peer-to-peer (P2P) technology to operate without a central authority or banks. The Bitcoin network comprises several thousands of computers called "miners" worldwide that validate and secure Bitcoin transactions. ●       Ethereum Ethereum is an open-source, blockchain-based distributed computing platform. It features smart contract functionality that enables the building of decentralized applications on its blockchain. The Ethereum Network platform with native cryptocurrency called Ether is the second-largest cryptocurrency exchange by market capitalization. Litecoin Litecoin is a peer-to-peer open-source software project. It is a decentralized digital currency like Bitcoin that enables instant payments to anyone. Litecoin, launched in 2011, is one of the oldest and most reputable cryptocurrencies. It has faster transaction times per second and a larger maximum supply than Bitcoin. Litecoin was designed to be a "lite", an utility version of Bitcoin, focusing on faster transaction speeds. It can be a good diversification for cryptocurrency traders and a hedge against Bitcoin. In summary, the significant cryptocurrencies of Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin each have unique properties. They can serve as an alternative asset class in a trading portfolio aiming for long-term financial goals. Before investing, it is essential to conduct in-depth research into the fundamentals and risks of each cryptocurrency. Market Sentiments and Considerations for traders For traders interested in cryptocurrency, several factors regarding market sentiments and risks should be considered before investing. Volatility and Speculation The cryptocurrency market is highly volatile and speculative. Cryptocurrency values can fluctuate greatly over short periods of time due to market sentiments and speculation. traders should go in with the expectation of volatility and not invest money that they cannot afford to lose. Regulatory Uncertainty The regulatory status of cryptocurrencies remains determined in most countries. There is uncertainty regarding how governments may regulate cryptocurrencies in the future. New regulations could impact the legality and ultimately the value of cryptocurrencies. traders should consider this regulatory uncertainty and the possibility of new rules that could affect the market. Security Risks The cryptocurrency market is risky for fraud, scams, and theft. traders could lose access to their accounts or have their cryptocurrency stolen. Strong security practices like two-factor authentication, offline wallets, and safely storing private keys can help reduce security risks, but there is no way to eliminate risk. Lack of Adoption While cryptocurrency adoption is growing, it remains a niche market. There is no guarantee that widespread mainstream adoption of cryptocurrencies will happen. If adoption does not increase substantially, the value of cryptocurrencies could drop significantly. traders should consider the possibility that cryptocurrencies will become less widely adopted and integrated into the global financial system.

RUTO’s deal in the U.S. has exposed Kenya to more terror attacks – CALEB AMISI now exposes the real danger of being designated non-NATO ally
Tuesday, May 28, 2024 - Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has accused President William Ruto of exposing the country to more terror attacks by allowing the U.S. to designate Kenya as a non-NATO ally. Taking to his official X account, the lawmaker claimed the move made Kenya inherit all the enemies of the United States of America. The ODM legislator argued that Kenya will now be a proxy ground for geopolitical hegemonic power struggle and that the country will now be constantly hit by terrorist groups. "Designating Kenya as a non-NATO ally has officially put us at the center of global wars. "Our country is now a proxy ground for a geopolitical hegemonic power struggle. "We are constantly going to be hit by organized terrorist groups, we have officially inherited America's enemies," Amisi said in the post. According to Amisi, the U.S. will now be fighting its enemies on Kenya's blood, not theirs. He further argues that the U.S. will only donate food, medicine, and more weapons in the aftermath of the war atrocities. "And the US will only donate food, medicine, and more weapons in the aftermath of war atrocities. "The U.S. will fight their enemies on Kenya's blood and not American blood. "We are going to be in tatters like UKRAINE. "Oh Lord, how did we reach here. "I blame it on the ineptitude of Uhuru to leave power to the wrong hands, coupled with a confused Azimio brigade. Kenya needs a Renaissance!" he added. GACHAGUA’s allies protest over missing coffee budget yet sugarcane farmers had been allocated Sh 117 billion as they blame RUTO and NYORO
Tuesday, May 28, 2024 - A section of leaders allied with Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has protested over the government’s failure to allocate money to waive coffee farmers’ debt. Contrary to farmers’ expectations, the money for the coffee sub-sector reforms has not been factored into the next financial year’s budget estimates. The leaders led by James Gakuya (Embakasi North), Geoffrey Wandeto (Tetu) Geoffrey Ruuku (Mbeere North), and Nyeri Governor Mutahi Kahiga, read mischief in the absence of the allocation in the budget estimates. The allies read mischief over the missing coffee budget yet Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro is the National Assembly Budget and Appropriations Committee Chairperson. “There is a proposal to waive Sh117 billion sugarcane millers debt but that has not been the case in our area,” Wandeto said. Gakuya wondered: “It seems some regions are being favoured while our region is being sidelined and we would like to know whether it is a scheme to make the DP and our Mt Kenya region leader look bad.” Gachagua was tasked by the Head of State to oversee coffee sector reforms spearheaded by the Coffee Sub-Sector Reforms Implementation Standing Committee via Executive Order 1 of 2023 on January 9, last year. Garissa Governor NATHIF JAMA accused of stealing billions of shillings as moribund EACC focus on arresting police officers taking Ksh 50 bribes.
Tuesday, May 28, 2024 - Garissa County Governor Nathif Jama is on the spot as more allegations of financial misconduct continue to surface. According to flight records, the governor who fled to London amidst a corruption probe is scheduled to return to Nairobi on May 31, 2024. Contrary to expectations within Nathif's camp, his absence has not quelled the mounting protests about his administration’s handling of county funds. An insider source revealed that only Sh 16 million out of the Sh 100 million bursary funds were disbursed as per IFMIS records dated August 28, 2023.  On March 25, 2023, Governor Jama publicly announced a Sh 100 million bursary allocation but only 16% of this amount was reportedly dispersed. The rest of the money was looted by Jama and his close associates and this left hundreds of students out of school due to lack of fees. Governor Jama also allocated Sh 100 million for revolving funds but only Sh 40 million was disbursed. The remaining Sh 60 million was looted by the governor and his close associates These revelations come on top of earlier accusations of widespread corruption and mismanagement within Governor Jama’s administration. However, the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has remained mum on the Garissa County looting due to the bribes the commission officers have been receiving from Jama. The Kenyan DAILY POST

Former US Diplomat now doubts RUTO’s capacity to deal with gangs in Haiti after US failed as he trashes the training of Haiti corps in Kenya – Look!
Tuesday, May 28, 2024 – President William Ruto may not have the capacity to handle the dreaded gangs in Haiti. This was revealed by former United States Special Envoy to Haiti, Dan Foote, who raised concerns over the effectiveness of the mission to Haiti, lamenting that it has been an ongoing battle dating back 20 years. The former envoy indicated that the US has repeatedly been involved in a security operation in Haiti without considering its ramifications in the long run. He questioned whether killing the Haitian gangs would ultimately bring stability to the conflict-riddled country. "We can't just go in and kill a bunch of bad guys and call it a day, go back in fifteen years and do it again. I mean, that's what we've been doing. But I don't think that's the answer," Foote explained. Foote also questioned the capacity of Kenyan police officers to train Haiti corps to mitigate the threats posed by the gangs. "The Kenyan police is (average). They're not terrible, but they're certainly not great, and they're certainly not in a position where they ought to be training (police in) a country in such a shaky security situation," he stated. His remarks came after it emerged that 2,000 Haitian police would be sent to Kenya for intensive training following the delay of the Kenya mission.  The Kenyan DAILY POST

Please tame your attack dogs trying to undermine DP GACHAGUA – RUTO told
Tuesday, May 28, 2024 - KANU Political Affairs Secretary Fredrick Okang'o has asked President William Ruto to tame his lieutenants who are undermining his deputy, Rigathi Gachagua. In an interview with Citizen TV Tuesday morning, Okang'o said Ruto should honour his earlier commitment to protect Gachagua from similar mistreatment he faced while serving as a deputy president. "The president must call out the people that are perceived to be undermining Rigathi. He must talk to them and he must remind them what he told the people of Mount Kenya," Okang'o said, "Ruto told Kenyans not at any time he will ever or do anything neither will he allow anyone to undermine his Deputy."  He went on: "Rigathi Gachagua and William Ruto are joined in the hip by the constitution through an election and therefore there is nothing that Ruto can do to Gachagua if they can differ today, same to Gachagua."  Okang'o said the recent developments come out of Gachagua's realization that he is not given the treatment he deserves and that there are people out to undermine him. Ruto’s aide Farouk Kibet and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi are among a cabal of leaders who have been undermining Gachagua. The Kenyan DAILY POST

Fallout escalates as RUTO single-handedly steps in to save Muguka farmers without GACHAGUA after 3 Counties banned it
Tuesday, May 28, 2024 – President William Ruto has stepped in to save Muguka farmers after 3 counties banned the transportation and the sale of the crop. Speaking after meeting Muguka farmers, Ruto directed Agriculture officials to hold consultative meetings and address concerns raised by Muguka farmers with immediate effect. And in what appears to be the escalating fallout between Ruto and his Deputy, Rigathi Gachagua, the Head of State held a meeting with leaders of Embu Counties, including Governor Cecily Mbarire, and lawmakers at State House on Monday evening without Gachagua who carries himself as Mt. Kenya kingpin. After the meeting, Ruto confirmed that Muguka was a scheduled crop and noted that Ksh500 million had been allocated towards its farming in the 2024/2025 Financial Year. "I have held a productive meeting with the leaders of Embu County on the recent ban on Muguka. We have agreed that miraa/muguka being a scheduled crop, a meeting be convened to discuss the issue," Ruto stated. "Consequently, I have directed the Ministry of Agriculture to convene a forum of all parties and stakeholders concerned." The consultative meetings are expected to offer an agreement on the implementation of the Miraa/Mũguka Regulations 2023. "The future of Miraa/Muguka is in scaling up farming, aggregation, grading, pricing, packaging and value addition of the crop," read a statement from State House. "For this reason, the government has committed KSh500 million in the 2024/25 Financial Year for value addition of these scheduled crops." Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi, during the meeting, had confirmed that Muguka was a scheduled crop whose regulations had been passed by the National Assembly and the Senate. The meeting, therefore, concluded that any other law, including the ban, that contradicted national legislation was null and void. The Kenyan DAILY POST

KALENJIN leaders tell SUDI to shut his foul mouth and respect GACHAGUA – RUTO won because of the DP’s handwork
Tuesday, May 28, 2024 - A section of Kalenjin community leaders has urged Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi to respect Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. On Sunday, Sudi in a strongly worded speech told Gachagua that he is not a man to be threatened after the second-in-command accused him of causing division in the Mt Kenya region. Following the altercation between Sudi and Gachagua, Bomet Governor Hillary Barchok told off some leaders from the Rift Valley who are accused of undermining the second-in-command.  Barchok reminded leaders from the region that the DP contributed immensely to their win in the 2022 General Election. He stated that there are better mechanisms for settling differences with the DP than criticizing him on public platforms.  "I would like to particularly address the people of Rift Valley. "Riggy G stood with us, and we must accord him respect. "Just yesterday or the day before, I saw someone arguing with Riggy G. "He is our leader, so respect him. If there is an issue with something he has said, there is a respectable way to address it, but it is not by standing up and arguing with him. "We will not allow that," Barchok stated. Tuesday, May 28, 2024 - Word has it that Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was left in shock recently after the majority of influential politicians from Mt Kenya failed to attend a meeting he had invited them to at his residence.
